Ireland: Post office manager bet millions

IRELAND -- A suspected fraudster who was picked up after placing a huge bet in Belfast is believed to have bet millions, the Irish Independent reported.

Tony O'Reilly, 36, a post office manager in Gorey, Wexford drew attention when he placed a €40,000 bet on a horse, the report explained.

Post office auditors are investigating the suspected fraud to the tune of €1.76 million at the post office branch where he worked, the Irish Independent reported.

O'Reilly's family have admitted he is a gambling addict, the report made note.
