IP Casino hosts team talent show16 September 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Team members from IP Casino Resort and Spa showcased their skills in a team member talent show held Monday, 12 September at Studio B. Fifteen team members participated with a variety of entertaining acts, including singers, guitarists, dancers, a pianist and a comedian; plus, IP’s management team put on a special dance performance to the hit song “All About That Bass.” Daquan Robinson (Cage) took home first place and $1,000 cash by performing a dance, vocal and comedy hip-hop mix called “Myself.” Stella Lawson (Reservations) took second place and $500 cash for her vocal performance of the song “Love Can Build a Bridge,” and Telvan Rudolph (Highlights) took third place and $250 with a song-and-dance routine to “Fine China.” “The talent show is an excellent way for our team members to build camaraderie outside of work,” said Duncan McKenzie, vice president and general manager of IP. “Valuing relationships is a cornerstone of Boyd Style, and our talent show is a great way for our team members to build on that.” Boyd Gaming Executive Chairman Bill Boyd assisted with the awards ceremony. The IP talent show was one of many held at Boyd Gaming properties across the United States. Winners from each property will go on to compete at a company-wide level, where the overall winner will receive a grand prize of a one-week, all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii for two. The full line-up of entertainers from the talent show includes Jeremy Bailey (Slot Operations), Joe Wallace (Food and Beverage), Billy Harshbarger (IT), Chris Haydis (Table Games), Christopher Roche (High Tide), Jeancarlo Valdivia (Cage), Tresharna Black (Hotel Reservations), John Myhres and Cody Smith (High Tide), Marisel Villegas (Back Bay Buffet), Alice Brown (Slot Marketing) and Kahary Pascley (Cage). |
