IP Casino donates to Bacot McCarty Foundation3 September 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- In recognition of the vital programs that the Bacot McCarty Foundation supports through its grants, IP Casino Resort and Spa recently donated $175,000 to the foundation. “We’re proud to have been a longtime supporter of the Bacot McCarthy Foundation, having donated more than $2 million to the organization since 2007,” said Duncan McKenzie, Vice President and General Manager of IP Casino Resort and Spa. “We’re proud to partner with the Foundation to make a difference in the lives of children in the Gulf Coast region through essential community programs.” With IP’s donation, Bacot McCarthy will fund grants for a variety of programs in Jackson and Harrison County, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mississippi and its event “Racquets for Ronald;” the “Explosion of Excellence” scholarship program; PGA Junior League Golf; and the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson County. In addition to the monetary donation, IP hosted and sponsored Bacot McCarty Foundation’s annual Jolly McCarty Gala. Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships and other programs benefiting local youth. The donation is part of IP’s annual charitable giving campaign which will award more than $800,000 thousand to non-profit organizations in the Gulf Coast region in 2019. |
