Iowa tribal casino considers liquor sales

IOWA – As reported by the Des Moines Register: "Meskwaki tribal leaders will consider the sale of alcohol at the tribe's casino near Tama.

"The proposal will be presented next week during a meeting. If approved by tribal leaders, a referendum for tribal members would likely be held later in the month, said Dan Stromer, the casino's general manager.

"He said the Meskwaki casino is the only one of 19 casinos in the Iowa that doesn't sell alcoholic beverages…"
