Intercontinental Online Gaming Ltd. to stop accepting US-based players

18 October 2006

Responding to approval of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, Intercontinental Online Gaming announced that it would no longer accept players located in the United States. The company sent the following information to its marketing affiliates:

Due to the recent enactment of the Federal 'Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act' in the United States Senate on September 30th, 2006, IOG Casinos are sad to announce that, effective from today, Friday 13th October, we will no longer be able to accept any new US based players, and that those US players already enjoying our services will no longer be able to wager and deposit at any of our clients.

The world is a very large place though, and IOG Casinos will now be concentrating on traffic from the non-US English speaking world, and mainland Europe.

With the possibility of legislation in the US hanging over our heads for many years, IOG Casinos foresaw possible issues arising from this and are already a market leader in the non-US arena.

With many of our casinos and websites already translated into French, Spanish, Italian, German, Swedish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese and with support services and call centers provided in localized languages, IOG Casinos already has a reputation of excellence amongst the players throughout these markets.

IOG Casinos would be more than happy to help you transfer your knowledge into these new, exciting opportunities. Our affiliate managers have years of experience in the non-US markets and we already have proven localized banners and marketing materials that have been developed over the years ready and waiting for you to use.

If you are interested in moving into one of these new markets our affiliate managers will be more than happy to speak to you to offer you advice.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact your affiliate manager directly or mail affiliate@iogcasinos.com.

Update: On Monday, October 23rd, 2006, IOG Casinos indicated that SunshineBingo.com would continue to accept players located in the United States. The change applies only to SunshineBingo.com, and other sites owned by the group will continue to restrict access from players located in the United States.
