Injured casino worker looks for compensation

NOVA SCOTIA – As reported by the Chronicle Herald: "The case of a casino worker injured gathering chips and dealing cards is going back before the provincial Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal.

"It means former Halifax casino worker Nancy Noel of Portuguese Cove must again appeal her denied claim for benefits under the Workers' Compensation Act for injuries to her left elbow and neck she claims occurred while spinning the roulette table and dispensing betting chips.

"A Nova Scotia Appeal Court decision handed down Tuesday refers to 'errors of law' by the tribunal that reviewed the case in March 2006 and supported the casino worker's injury claims…"
