India's Financial Minister Denies Online Lottery Misconduct10 March 2004THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, India – As reported by the Hindu Times: "The Finance Minister, K. Sankaranarayanan, on Tuesday denied allegations against the Advocate-General and Government pleader regarding the conduct of online lottery cases in the High Court of Kerala. "Replying to criticisms made by the Leader of the Opposition, V.S. Achuthanandan, the Finance Minister said there had been no default of sales tax (amounting to Rs. 895 crores) by a company selling online lotteries, as alleged by the Opposition leader.
