Indiana Video Gaming Gets Another Shot4 November 2005MUNCIE, Indiana – As reported by the Indiana Star Press: "Video gambling in bars and restaurants and slot machines at horse racing tracks will get another shot at the Indiana General Assembly in 2006. "However, how realistic a chance such legislation has of winning approval during next year's short legislative session remains to be seen. "Rep. Tiny Adams, D-Muncie, again plans to file a bill to legalize 'Cherry Master' and other video machines, restricting them to bars, restaurants or clubs that sell alcohol. Under his proposal, the estimated $300 million in yearly revenue from state gaming taxes would produce a $100 million share for local government…" |
