Indiana Union Ratifies Contracts

INDIANA – As reported by the Northwest Indiana Times: 'A strike threat is over for Majestic Star and Trump casinos.

"Workers voted to ratify their contracts Monday, according to Clare Fauke, spokeswoman for Unite Here Local 1. The union represents about 850 riverboat service employees working at Blue Chip, Trump, Harrah's and Majestic Star casinos. Horseshoe Casino in Hammond isn't unionized. Harrah's workers voted to ratify their contract last week.

"…Blue Chip Casino was the last of the unionized casinos to negotiate a tentative contract agreement. Workers will vote on ratification Wednesday…"
