Indiana Riverboats Reports Results Up

INDIANA – As reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer: "Second-quarter revenues were up for the parent companies of two of Indiana's riverboat casino operators, as Argosy Gaming Co. and Pinnacle Entertainment both reported quarterly results on Tuesday.

"Argosy recorded a 6.4 percent gain in net revenues for the quarter ended June 30, while Pinnacle for the same period had a 4.1 percent increase in revenues excluding results of its newly opened L'Auberge du Lac casino in Louisiana.

"…Pinnacle said its new $365 million casino in Lake Charles, La., was profitable in its first five weeks of operation. Though the opening accounted for the lion's share of Pinnacle's 25.1 percent uptick in quarterly revenues, it also was the primary reason for Pinnacle's net loss of $4.2 million (10 cents per share) for the period…"
