Indiana Riverboat Revenues Down

INDIANA – As reported by the Northwest Indiana News: "Combined revenues at area riverboats fell in September by nearly 1 percent from a year ago, but rose slightly over last month.

"The five Northwest Indiana casinos took in $98.8 million, up from $98.7 million in August but down from $99.6 million in September 2004.

"A sluggish September isn't unusual for casinos as gamblers head back to school or back to work, said Ed Feigenbaum, editor of Indiana Gaming Insight.

"…Revenues dipped on four of five Northwest Indiana casinos between August and September, with Resorts in East Chicago the only riverboat to post a gain…"
