Indiana Official Responds to Trump Rumors27 September 2004FRENCH LICK, Indiana – As reported by the Associated Press: "A state gaming official says it's too soon to discuss replacing financially troubled Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts Inc. as the company that will build a casino in French Lick. "Glenn Lawrence, executive director of the Indiana Gaming Commission, has told Trump executives to appear before the panel on Oct. 1 in Indianapolis to answer questions about the company's financing, as well as the French Lick project and its casino riverboat in Gary. "…'We do have some concerns,' Lawrence told the Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky. "Commission members need more information to determine 'if they want to proceed' with Trump as the casino operator, he said. "…Although the commission voted 4-2 in July to give the contract to Trump, it remains unsigned…" |
