Indiana Grand opens new Winner's Circle Brewpub & OTB14 July 2014SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Indiana Grand Racing & Casino officially opened the Winner’s Circle Brewpub & OTB Thursday morning and welcomed guests with fanfare. It started with an official call to post by Hoosier Park Racing & Casino’s bugler, Mason Chappell, and was immediately followed by a grand entrance onto the casino floor by retired Thoroughbred racehorse, Nice and Easy. The Shelbyville Winner’s Circle Brewpub & OTB, located just off the Indiana Grand Casino’s casino floor, is the second remodeled and rebranded offtrack betting location following the opening of the downtown Indianapolis Winner’s Circle Pub, Grille, & OTB in December 2011. The Las Vegas-style racebook concept, which has found success with both new and loyal horse racing fans through the flagship downtown Indianapolis location, offers guests an appealing and visually interactive environment featuring the best in live horse racing and daily sports action. The Winner’s Circle serves a wide variety of Indiana micro-brewed beers and local wines in addition to an artfully crafted menu featuring items made from locally sourced ingredients. One of the first guests to enjoy lunch at the new Winner’s Circle Brewpub & OTB was Tyson Conrady of Shelbyville. “The menu selection is fantastic and full of great flavors,” said Conrady. “The atmosphere is electric and with the selection of horse racing and sports displayed around the room, there isn’t a bad seat in the place.” The 9,600-square-foot Winner’s Circle Brewpub & OTB displays more than 80 HDTV flat screen televisions and a 15-by-20-foot television screen focal point featuring all U.S. major horse racing venues and sporting events. With a capacity to seat 230 guests, the facility offers both self-serve and manned mutuel stations. Guests may also use FastBet Mobile wagering to place bets from their tablet and mobile phone devices throughout the Winner’s Circle and the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino property. “The Winner’s Circle concept is proving successful as it continues to introduce the sport of horse racing to new fans while still appealing to our loyal guests,” said Jim Brown, Centaur Gaming’s president, COO and Indiana Grand general manager. “With this second location, we are looking to continue that trend by further broadening the appeal of horse racing as an entertainment option.” |
