Indiana Governor Names Gaming Commission Head

INDIANA – As reported by the Indianapolis Star: "Gov. Mitch Daniels today tapped a longtime Clay Circuit Court judge to lead the Indiana Gaming Commission.

"Judge Ernest Yelton of Brazil, who has been on the bench since 1979, will be in charge of the state agency that regulates the Indiana's 10 riverboat casinos and will oversee the development of a new casino for French Lick.

"One of Yelton's first tasks will be to review the commission's split decision in July to award the 11th casino to Donald Trump's casino company.

"Daniels continued to express concern about the Trump casino company's finances, which are caught up in bankruptcy reorganization…"
