Indiana Casinos Set Record

INDIANA – As reported by the Northwest Indiana Times: "Northwest Indiana's five casinos took in more cash than ever before in February, with gamblers dropping a record-setting $106 million at machines and tables.

"The top grossing casino was Horseshoe Casino, in Hammond, with $32 million in revenue. The biggest gainer was Trump Casino, in Gary, where revenue increased almost 25 percent over a year ago to $13.2 million.

"…All ten of Indiana's casinos grossed over $10 million and the total take came in at $203.3 million.

"Northwest Indiana casinos have combined to pass the $100 million mark in a single month only three times before.

"…In addition to Trump Casino, neighbor Majestic Star also scored strong gains in February. Majestic Star's $13.3 million take represented a 14.6 percent gain over last February's mark of $11.6 million…"
