Indiana Casinos Reports Mixed

INDIANA – As reported by the Northwest Indiana Times: "Harrah's and Trump casinos had sharply higher revenues in November as compared to last year, with both being staked to double-digit percentage increases for the month.

"Harrah's revenue hit $25.5 million, a 16 percent increase over last November's total take of $22 million, according to the Indiana Gaming Commission. Trump casino revenues hit $11.7 million, a 12 percent increase over revenues of $10.4 million in the same month last year.

"…Two Northwest Indiana casinos, Horseshoe and Blue Chip, experienced revenue declines in November as compared to the same month last year.

"Horseshoe had a total take of $27.5 million, a 2.5 percent decrease from last November's $28.2 million. Blue Chip had total revenue of $17.3 million, a 3.5 percent decrease from the $17.9 million it took in last year.

"Majestic Star revenues rose slightly to $11.2 million, which is almost a 1 percent increase over November 2002 revenues of $11.1 million."
