Indiana Casino Taxes Ahead of Projections

INDIANA – As reported by the Indianapolis Star: "The state's share of casino taxes is running $4.4 million ahead of projections for the fiscal year that began in July, according to data released by the Indiana State Budget Agency and the Indiana Gaming Commission.

"Indiana's 10 casinos took in $184 million last December, a $15 million increase from the same period a year ago.

"Casino operators attributed the growth to the state's approval of 24-hour gambling in July…"
