Indiana Casino Revenues Up

INDIANA – As reported by the Northwest Indiana Times: "Gamblers dropped a total of $100 million at the five Northwest Indiana casinos in June, topping last year by 4.7 percent but sliding from $106.3 million in May.

"Statewide revenues hit $203 million, a 6 percent gain over last year.

"The year-over-year increase is good news, given typically slow traffic to the casinos in June, said Ed Feigenbaum, whose Indiana Gaming Insight tracks the state's gambling industry.

"…Nearly 40,000 fewer gamblers boarded the five Lake Michigan riverboats in June, a drop of 3.3 percent from May but up but from a year ago by 0.1 percent…"
