Indiana Casino Negotiation Team Formed

FRENCH LICK, Indiana – As reported by the (Indiana) Times-Mail: "Three members of the seven-member Historic Hotel Preservation Commission have been chosen as part of a team that will negotiate with the three applicants for the casino contract in Orange County.

"In announcing the team's members at an HHPC meeting Wednesday, J.C. Tucker, one of the group's attorneys, said, 'I was given the task ... of looking at the best possible negotiation group that would serve the interests of all those are involved — the hotels, the community, French Lick, West Baden, Orange County.'

"HHPC members who will participate in negotiations are Steve Ferguson, Andy Alexander and Jerry Fuhs. Others who will participate are HHPC Advisory Committee members Jerry Denbo and Jim Mathers, West Baden Town Council member Steve White, and French Lick Clerk-treasurer Dave Harner.

"… Negotiations will begin Monday…"
