Indian police bust illegal cricket gambling syndicates

NEW DELHI, India -- Indian police have cracked down on illegal gambling dens, according to the Agence France Presse.

Eight people were arrested during the raids, laptops and cell phones were also confiscated, the report said.

The gambling gangs took illegal bets during the cricket World Cup to the tune of $620,000, Agence France Presse reported.
