Inaugural art auction at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort6 August 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort will host the inaugural Silent Art Auction to benefit Jubilee Havens on 22 August at 3 p.m. in The Strand Event Center. Jubilee Havens’ mission is to provide safe houses for victims of human trafficking in Mississippi. Many creative and talented artists have donated various types of artwork such as paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, jewelry and more to be auctioned off to bring awareness to the modern-day slavery crime of human trafficking. All proceeds will benefit Mississippi’s nonprofit mission of Jubilee Havens. The silent auction of artwork will be from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m., and a live auction for selected art pieces will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door, or may be purchased in advance online. Light hors d’oeuvres are included in the ticket price. This auction is part of the Scarlet Pearl Cares initiative, raising awareness on key issues facing the Gulf Coast, and working together as a company to strengthen and make a difference. |
