IMF dismiss Greece's proposed VLT tax24 June 2015BRUSSELS -- In the ongoing, increasingly tense drama of Greece's financial crisis, the IMF has issued new demands, according to Greece's pro-government newspaper AVGI. The proposal Greece made on Monday, viewed by Casino City staff, included language that would "implement taxation on Gross Gaming Revenues (GGR) of 30% on VLT games expected to be installed at second half of 2015 and 2016." The Wall Street Journal earlier uploaded a copy of the IMF's edit of the Greek proposal and the proposed VLT tax proposal was firmly dismissed with a solid red-strike through. This suggests the IMF is refusing any inclusion of the proposed tax in the negotiations. |
