Illinois Riverboat Grants Offered

ILLINOIS – As reported by the Chicago Tribune: "A window of opportunity was thrown open this week by Kane County Board Chairman Karen McConnaughay for any qualifying government and non-profit agencies and organizations in the county to apply for more than $1 million in so-called riverboat grants.

"…More than $4.4 million of the estimated $5,430,000 that McConnaughay said Kane County expects to receive this year from the casino operator has already been committed, leaving just over $1 million for others that meet the county's guidelines for funding."
