'Illegal' Casino Busted By Police31 May 2004NEW ZEALAND -- As reported by One News: ``Bundles of cash have been uncovered in what Internal Affairs says is the biggest illegal casino bust seen for years. ``A tip-off led the department to start investigating the New Asian Club in downtown Wellington two months ago. ``The director of gaming and censorship regulation, Keith Manch, says it was an elaborate and illegal operation with officials finding the club set up with a mini baccarat, a pai gow, two black jack tables and two mah jong tables. ``...The Friday night bust netted a large amount of cash..." |
