iGaming 4 Business Conference confirms impressive speakers for regulator panel31 May 2013LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The iGaming 4 Business Conference has confirmed the Danish Gambling Authority, the Gambling Commission, the European Commission and the Lotteries and Gaming Authority who will participate on the panel entitled “Regulator Panel: Creating Inter-State iGaming compacts in Europe”, which is occurring at 10.40am on 12th June 2013. Panellists include: Birgitte Sand, Director for the Danish Gambling Authority; Jenny Williams, Commissioner & Chief Executive for the Gambling Commission, Charmaine Hogan, Seconded National Expert for the European Commission and Reuben Portanier, Chief Executive Officer, Lotteries and Gaming Authority. Online gambling regulation in European countries is characterized by a diversity of regulatory framework. In 2012, the European Commission established an expert group on gambling, and mutual agreements are being signed by European regulators. “With the draft legislation having been published, Holland is on its way to becoming a regulated market and the rest of Europe is set to follow,” said Alex Pratt, Head of iGaming Business. “The panel will discuss how European countries are working together on what may prove to be valuable building blocks for a future model for regulated iGaming world-wide.” The panel will be taking place at the iGaming 4 Business Conference, which is part of the iGaming Super Show. The iGaming Super Show is taking place at the RAI in Amsterdam on the 11 th – 14th June 2013 and is free to attend for anyone in the online gambling industry.
