Idaho Lottery Plans for Online System

WEST GREENWICH, Rhode Island – (PRESS RELEASE) -- GTECH Holdings Corporation (NYSE: GTK) was notified by the Idaho Lottery Commission of its intent to negotiate a contract to provide equipment and services for a new online lottery gaming system, terminals, and associated telecommunications network with another vendor.

GTECH has provided lottery products and services to the Idaho Lottery since 1989. The Company's current contract with the Lottery is set to expire in February 2007. The Idaho Lottery contributes approximately $3 million to $4 million to GTECH's annual revenues.
