Hundreds Turn Up for Seneca Casino Job Fair

NEW YORK –As reported by the Buffalo News: "Joanna Cook and Tameka McDougal took Bus No. 40 from Niagara Falls to Grand Island on Tuesday, then walked three miles to join hundreds of other people waiting in line outside the Holiday Inn.

"They were seeking a job at the new Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel, which plans to hire 1,000 employees for its grand opening New Year's Eve.

"…Several hundred people began lining up outside the Grand Island Holiday Inn on Whitehaven Road at 8 a.m. for interviews that started at 11 a.m., said Philip J. Pantano, the Seneca casino public relations manager.

"…Four other job fairs are planned through October, and the Senecas have no doubt they will more than fill their employment needs…"
