Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House reopens at Rivers Casino Philadelphia

5 November 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Hugo's hops back into the restaurant game at Philly's Casino. Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House, the high-end steakhouse at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, is now open after being closed since the 15 March property-wide shutdown to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The casino’s gaming floor reopened on 17 July.

Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House is the award-winning steakhouse that features mouthwatering steaks, including the "Philly Cut" bone-in filet mignon, fresh seafood (jumbo lump crab cakes are always a favorite) and scrumptious, oversized, desserts such as carrot cake and chocolate mousse pie.

Hugo's is part of the legendary Gibsons Restaurant Group. It’s the casino's third restaurant to reopen joining Jack's Bar + Grill and Mian, both of which reopened on Sept. 8.

"Hugo's fine dining is another option Rivers Casino now offers for a fun night on the town," said Peter Longi, assistant general manager at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. "Guests will get a great meal to go along with our exciting slots, table games and sportsbook all in one place. With free parking, it's tough to beat dining at Philly's casino."

Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House Hours and Highlights

Hugo's is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.

The casino's steakhouse includes the following special and entertainment:
  • Buck-a-Shuck, featuring $1 oysters, Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Live piano music every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.
Safety Protocols

The health and safety of guests and Team Members is the casino’s top priority. Rivers Casino Philadelphia follows best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and meets or exceeds all COVID-19 Casino Reopening Protocols issued by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). Additionally, Rivers Casino adheres to all guidelines issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and meets all operating requirements set by the City of Philadelphia.

In addition to the existing casino-wide safety measures, the following precautions are in effect for Hugo's and all Rivers Casino Philadelphia restaurants:

  • Masks must be worn at all times, except when eating or drinking.
  • Restaurant occupancy will be 50%; all tables will be spaced six feet apart.
  • No more than four guests will be permitted per table.
  • Alcohol can only be served with meals; food and drinks must remain within the restaurants.
  • The Rivers Clean Team will continue working around-the-clock to make sure tables are sanitized prior to guests being seated.
