Huge Gambling Bust19 January 2004NEW YORK -- WROC-TV: ``State police say it was no typical office pool, but a major gambling ring. ``Police raided locations in Monroe County Sunday, looking for evidence. They seized $38,000, gambling records and computers. ``In the last five months, police estimate the operation took in $2 million worth of bets on college and professional basketball and football, as well as professional hockey. ``...The case is going to a grand jury..." |
