House in North Marianas passes gambling bill5 December 2007NORTH MARIANAS -- As reported by The Saipan Tribune: "The House of Representatives in the Northern Marianas has passed a bill to legalise certain forms of gambling on Saipan. "The Saipan Tribune reports all but one member voted in favor of the bill which now goes to the Senate for action. "The Lower House approved the bill with one amendment, to include a provision requiring a portion of the gaming fees to fund the senior food meal nutrition programme..." |
