Hotels push for trials of new pokies limit system16 February 2011AUSTRALIA -- The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) has called on the government to seriously research the pre-commitment pokie machines and the implications of them before they're introduced, The Age reported. The AHA has warned of the financial impact the proposal could have for the industry, because of the costs to upgrade the machines and other issues, the report said. The AHA made a "written submission" to the current nationwide inquiry and urged the government to work with them to "to develop a sensible, evidenced-based way forward..." |
