17 March 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Monday, Governor John Bel Edwards and the Louisiana Gaming Control Board ordered the state’s 20 casinos, including Horseshoe Casino & Hotel - Bossier City and Harrah's Louisiana Downs, to suspend gambling operations up to 30 days, beginning at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 17 March 2020. Live Racing will also be suspended starting Tuesday and for the remainder of the Quarter Horse meet (which ends Wednesday, 18 March 2020). The Off Track Betting facility in Mound, Louisiana, will also close.

Horseshoe Bossier City and Harrah’s Louisiana Downs will work with the Louisiana State Police Gaming Division to effectuate a smooth closing process, and will reopen as soon as the Louisiana Gaming Control Board determines it is appropriate to do so.
