Holy Holy to perform at Talking Stick Resort

14 February 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Talking Stick Resort is thrilled to announce iconic super group, Holy Holy will perform live in the Showroom on Friday, April 22. Tickets will become available for purchase on Feb. 15 beginning at 10 a.m.

Holy Holy, the super-group formed by original members of David Bowie's band world-renowned drummer Woody Woodmansey and legendary music producer Tony Visconti, came from an idea to perform the album "The Man Who Sold the World" live in its entirety and other classic hits. Get ready to experience the quintessential early Bowie [1969 to 1973] and celebrate the late singer's music and life.

The Man Who Sold The World, recorded in 1970, is considered one of Bowie's finest moments and this band is well-placed to do it justice - as they proved in their 2015 critically-acclaimed sold out tour. Woodmansey, Visconti along with David Bowie and Mick Ronson wrote The Man Who Sold the World album, but never had the chance to perform it live. Following the recording of the album, Visconti went on to produce 14 of David Bowie's albums, including the recently released Blackstar. Woodmansey continued to play drums on three additional David Bowie albums including Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars and Aladdin Sane.

Holy Holy's lineup was hand-picked by both Visconti and Woodmansey and features Woody Woodmansey on drums, Tony Visconti on bass, guitarist James Stevenson (The Cult, Gene Loves Jezebel Gen X), guitarist Paul Cuddeford (Ian Hunter, Bob Geldof), vocalist Glenn Gregory (Heaven 17), keyboardist Berenice Scott (Heaven 17), sax player Terry Edwards and backup vocalist Jessica Morgan.

Holy Holy kicked off their 2016 tour on Jan. 7 in Portland, Maine. Following the recent passing of David Bowie and the continued support of his fans tickets are limited and additional shows are being added. Furthermore, Holy Holy will be the house band for the two upcoming Tribute to the Music of David Bowie concerts on March 31 at Carnegie Hall and the April 1 show at Radio City Music Hall. Holy Holy will pay homage to Bowie when they perform live in Scottsdale!
