Hollywood Casino names new manager

BAY ST. LOUIS, Mississippi – (PRESS RELEASE) – Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis, formerly Casino Magic, announced the hiring of Gloria Frey as general sales manager. Brenda Barlow has been promoted to Player Events Coordinator.

Frey is responsible for the tour & travel industry and RV group market. "Gloria's professional experience and network in the industry is a tremendous benefit to our program," said Thomas Dean, senior director of sales. "Gloria will be instrumental in promoting and selling our all-inclusive casino and golf resort to the motorcoach, RV group, conventions, tradeshows, and the group leader market," said Dean.

Prior to joining Hollywood Casino, Bay St. Louis, Frey served as group sales manager for several Gulf Coast casinos including the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Casino Magic Bay St. Louis, Casino Magic Biloxi and Regional Sales for Grand Casinos. Frey began her career with Casino Magic Bay St. Louis in 1993 as a Group Sales Coordinator.

Barlow's promotion comes shortly after joining the Hollywood Player Development department in August, 2006, as a player development representative. Before joining Hollywood Casino, she enjoyed a successful career in telecommunications sales, working with national and global accounts for Avaya, Inc., Octel Communications and InteCom, Inc., in Tampa, Florida. Barlow earned a B.A. degree in Marketing Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.

The Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis and Hollywood Hotel offers 291 guest rooms, 900 new slot machines, 20 unique table games, and a new 6-table poker room. There are three restaurants including Tuscany Steaks and Seafood, Jackpot Java, and the all new Epic Buffet. The Bridges Golf Course, the state's only Arnold Palmer Golf Course opened last month and the Bridges Grill is under renovation and will open later this year. The fully renovated casino operation is a land-based facility with 17,000 square feet of function space and nine private meeting rooms.
