Hollywood Casino holds slot tournament

BAY ST. LOUIS, Mississippi -- (PRESS RELEASE) -– Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis paid out $55,000 cash and $16,500 in Star Play to the top 21 weekend warrior slot tournament winning players Saturday night. Another $29,000 in Star Play awards was shared among 290 lucky players that participated in the semi-finals leading to the finals.

Cindy Marin of Kenner, LA, jumped for joy on stage as she was awarded the $30,000 top prize. Joyce Lumpkin of Picayune, Louisiana, won the $15,000 second prize in the tournament. Jack Alphonso of Chalmette, LA, won $10,000 for third prize and the other top players won from $500 to $5,000. The top 21 players out of the 290 who qualified were called to the stage to accept their prize money based on their final scores. None of the players knew how much they had won until it was announced on stage.

Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis and Hollywood Hotel offers 291 guest rooms, 1,114 slot machines, 21 unique table games, a 6-table poker room, and a 14-station video poker bar.
