Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis employees recognized

Cast members of the quarter include Melissa Key, table games, Jerine Ladner, slots, Linda Batte, call center, Chance Fricke, banquets, and Toni James, security. Chris LaFontaine, assistant manager of the casino cage, and Security Supervisor Phil Johnson have been named supervisors of the quarter. General Manager John Chaszar introduced each department supervisor who awarded the employees they nominated to receive the award. Darryl Hodgson, poker room manager, started to read a list of reasons why he nominated Melissa Key to receive the award then jokingly amused the crowd when he unrolled a long list holding it high above his head which read "Everything we've always asked of her."

"I think we could say at least half of our employees deserve this award, but today we put the spotlight on these special people who clearly make us who we are at Hollywood," said Chaszar. Hollywood also recognized 56 employees for their perfect attendance record. "Nearly 10-percent of our employees have never called in for sickness, personal problems, or any other understandable issue for the year. That's impressive," said Chaszar.

Casino managers and directors nominate their respective employees for consideration with the winners being decided by an internal committee.

The 1st Quarter awards luncheon was held in the Cypress Ball Room where more than sixty managers and supervisors attended the awards ceremony.

Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis and Hollywood Hotel offer 291 guest rooms, 1,100 new slot machines, 21 unique table games, a 6-table poker room, and a 14-station video poker bar.
