Hollywood Casino - Baton Rouge to launch celebrity chef series

14 March 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Award-winning food blogger, radio host and Food Network Star finalist Jay D. Ducote will be on hand to launch Hollywood Casino - Baton Rouge’s Celebrity Chef Series on Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m. Joining Ducote for the free 90-minute Eat & Greet will be top-rated television personality and best-selling author Gina Neely.

Neely burst onto the scene in 2008 by starring in the hit show “Down Home with the Neelys,” which became the highest-rated series debut in the history of Food Network’s “In the Kitchen” block. Shortly after, she released her first cookbook, “Down Home with the Neelys,” which quickly earned a place on The New York Times’ bestseller list.

Ducote is the founder of Bite and Booze, a culinary media company that creates food and beverage content chronicling Ducote’s cultural indulgent experiences. His blog, biteandbooze.com, shares stories about everything that he eats and drinks throughout his life in Baton Rouge and his travels around the United States and the world. Bite and Booze is also a Taste Award-winning radio show that airs locally on Talk 107.3 FM on Saturdays at 5 p.m.

Neely will share a step-by-step guide to preparing two featured appetizers. Guests can sample the dishes and engage Neely in a question and answer session. She will also meet guests and sign autographs at the conclusion of the program.

A VIP dinner will follow the 2 p.m. event. Patrons who dine in the Celebrity Grill between now and March 18 will receive an entry into a drawing for two passes to the VIP dinner featuring Gina Neely and $250 in slot play. The drawing will be held March 19 at 3:15 p.m. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing.

The Eat & Greet event will be held in Center Stage. Advance tickets are not required but attendance is limited to the first 400 guests. For more information, call 1-800-447-6843 or visit the Hollywood Casino - Baton Rouge website.
