Ho-Chunk Continues Search for Casino Site

WISCONSIN – As reported by the (Wisconsin) Capital Times: "The Ho-Chunk Nation's search for a site for its fourth Wisconsin casino will go on, tribal officials say, after voters resoundingly rejected the tribe's plan to build the facility in Madison.

"The tribe has a list of other communities where the casino plan could go next, Ho-Chunk business director Jim Webster said Wednesday.

"…Webster declined to elaborate, saying the Ho-Chunk don't want to tip off other tribes with competing casinos.

"Gov. Jim Doyle, who has the final say over casinos in Wisconsin, said he didn't know where the tribe might go next…"
