Historic Hialeah Park reopens with a packed house30 November 2009FLORIDA -- Famous and historic racetrack Hialeah Park reopened on Saturday after 8 years of closure and close to 27,000 people came out to witness it, according to a report in The Miami Herald. The track had sustained hurricane damage during its closure that required repair. The return of Hialeah Park has only been possible because of legislation passed to allow the track to eventually add slot machines, the Miami Herald reported. |
