Heritage Buffet opens at Ameristar Casino Hotel - Vicksburg21 June 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Ameristar Casino Hotel - Vicksburg is celebrating the grand reopening of its guest favorite Heritage Buffet. The 350-seat buffet reopened this week following a ten-week renovation, marking the occasion with a festive celebration including live music and giveaways. The new restaurant also includes The Magnolia Room, with seating for 100, which can be reserved for private events and banquets. Heritage Buffet team members welcomed guests back to the popular restaurant, voted Best in Vicksburg for ten years in a row, during a grand re-opening ceremony held Friday, June 17. The event included a ribbon-cutting in conjunction with the Vicksburg Chamber of Commerce, sampling of new food items, live jazz performances and a social media contest during which one lucky fan won a free buffet per week for a year. The redesigned restaurant now offers an open dining concept to showcase expansive views of the beautiful Mississippi River with a lighter, brighter interior, comfortable seating and exciting culinary action stations. New additions include a carving station, Italian Station featuring hand-tossed pizzas, house-made hand dipped ice-cream and the return of hometown southern favorites such as fried chicken and the restaurants legendary weekend crab leg buffet. "We've taken the best and made it even better; everything in Heritage Buffet is brand new," said Ameristar Vicksburg Vice President and General Manager Gerad Hardy. "We're excited to welcome guests back to enjoy the new views, delicious longtime favorites and now they can sample foods from around the world without leaving Vicksburg."
