Harrah's Northern California enhances safety protocols for reopening

1 June 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- In anticipation of reopening today, Harrah's Northern California has released a comprehensive outline of enhanced health and sanitation protocols. Guests returning to the property will notice changes to the experience, including limited guest capacity on the casino floor and dining outlets, social distancing procedures and enhanced sanitation protocols.

“Harrah’s Northern California is focused on the well-being of our team members, guests and community,” said Rhonda Pope-Flores, Buena Vista Rancheria Chairwoman. “Following the guidance of health authorities, we have developed an extensive list of protocols to create an enjoyable environment at our property that emphasizes sanitization and physical distancing practices.”

A full overview of enhancements to the property’s already stringent health and safety procedures may be found here. These enhancements include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Casino hours will be limited weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. to account for nightly deep cleaning of the property.
  • All team members and guests will be required to wear masks while in the casino.
  • New roulette and craps offerings that eliminate the constant exchange of chips have been installed.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the building and dealers will provide hand sanitizer to players arriving at gaming tables.
“While we have implemented new health and safety measures, we are confident Harrah’s Northern California will continue to deliver the same great fun and friendly service we are well-known for,” said JC Rieger, Harrah’s Northern California Senior Vice President and General Manager. “We look forward to welcoming guests back soon and returning our team members to work.”

Tribal and property leadership have worked collaboratively with health experts as well as local and state agencies to establish updated health and sanitation protocols. Upon reopening, the casino will continue to closely monitor public health guidelines and will implement enhancements to health and safety measures as directed.
