Harrah's North Kansas City Names New GM

21 March 2005

LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Tom Cook has been named senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's North Kansas City Casino & Hotel, effective upon receipt of any required regulatory approvals, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET) announced.

Cook will report to Bill Keena, senior vice president and general manager of Missouri operations for Harrah's.

Cook is currently senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino Resort, a position he has held since 2003. Previously he served as vice president of slot operations at Harrah's Atlantic City and assistant general manager of the Showboat. A search for his replacement at Harrah's Ak-Chin is underway.

"Since joining Harrah's in 1995, Tom has distinguished himself as a skilled executive and operator," said Carlos Tolosa, president of Harrah's Eastern Division. "Under his leadership, Harrah's Ak-Chin delivered a record performance in 2004. Tom is the ideal leader to help Harrah's North Kansas City reclaim its market-leading position against aggressive competition."
