Harrah's New Orleans not permitted to cut jobs13 May 2015NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana -- Harrah's New Orleans Casino attempt to reduce jobs because of a citywide smoking ban has been voted down in a Senate committee hearing, the Times-Picayune reported. The casino has an agreement with the state that it must have a workforce of 2400 employees, the report explained. The casino has regularly asked the state to reconsider this number against changing business conditions and had been hopeful of movement in view of the new smoking ban, the Times-Picayune report said. |
