17 March 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- For the well-being of our team members and guests, Harrah's Council Bluffs and Horseshoe Casino - Council Bluffs will be temporarily closed effective 12 p.m. on 17 March 2020. Today, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued an emergency order to close all Iowa casinos as a precautionary measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While there have been no reported cases at Harrah’s or Horseshoe Council Bluffs to date, for the health and safety of our team members and guests, the casinos will close to the public. Harrah’s and Horseshoe Council Bluffs is closely monitoring this evolving situation and will work with local officials to establish a reopening date as soon as it is appropriate to do so.
