Hard Rock Hotel to hire 1,200 workers

3 June 2009

Las Vegas Sun

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will hire 1,200 employees by the end of 2009 to accommodate the property's $750 million expansion project.

Kirvin Doak Communications, the firm that handles Hard Rock's public relations, announced the mass hiring on its Twitter feed this evening. The property set up a Twitter account of its own yesterday to post "Hot Jobs of the Day" throughout the hiring process.

Hard Rock's $750 million expansion project began in 2007 and is expected to be completed this summer. The project includes two new hotel towers, which will bring Hard Rock's room total from 650 to 1,525, the newly opened Joint and 75,000 additional square feet of meeting and convention space.

Hard Rock officials couldn't be reached for comment Tuesday night.
