Hard Rock Casino Signs Entertainment Deal

MISSISSIPPI – As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi is mum on which entertainers it will book when it opens, but the person bringing them in will be Chuck Anthony, president of T. Skorman Production's casino division.

"Joe Billhimer, president of Hard Rock Biloxi, and Anthony revealed Thursday that the production company would have an exclusive contract with the casino for entertainment bookings.

"…[Anthony's] short list of entertainers who drew young audiences included Alicia Keys, Jessica Simpson, Keith Urban and Bon Jovi.

"A major marketing push is under way at other Coast casinos to appeal to the young and the hip as the opening of the Hard Rock nears. However, Billhimer said he did not believe in drawing distinctions between generations and made it plain that people with gray hair will be very welcome at the Hard Rock…"
