Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas to remain open into 2020

1 April 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas has revealed that the property will remain open into early 2020. Design plans for the upcoming, re-conceptualized and revitalized property, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, have significantly been brought close to completion and the construction schedule has been determined. The property is currently offering a full slate of world-class entertainment, dining, hospitality and gaming options.

“The property’s project deadlines were fluid and the scope of the project continued to expand,” said President and CEO of JC Hospitality LLC and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Richard “Boz” Bosworth. “Based on the additional improvements that we have identified, the deadline to begin work has shifted to early 2020. Significant construction activities remain ten months away and the property will remain open for business without any disruptions to our guests and team members through Super Bowl of 2020.”

“We are thrilled to have selected construction, architect and design partners including Taylor International Corp., McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.?, Klai Juba Wald Architecture Plus Interiors, Rockwell Group and Studio Collective to work with us on the evolution of the property from Hard Rock to the Virgin Hotels brand,” explained Bosworth.

This month The Joint will celebrate ten years as the most dynamic, sophisticated and authentic venue in Las Vegas. The Joint is welcoming a full slate of world-class entertainment in 2019, including English pop rock band The 1975 (16 April); comedian Jeff Dunham (26 April); rapper Juice WRLD (3 May); Hollywood Vampires featuring Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry (10 May); Grammy-nominated Snow Patrol (18 May); RBRM Bobby Brown + Bell Biv Devoe (15 June); American rockers Coheed and Cambria (28 June); the legendary Judas Priest (29 June) and the 6th Annual Big Blues Bender will take over Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas bringing the biggest names in blues music during the four day event, 5-8 September. Additional performances will soon be announced.
