Hain Welcomes Casino Proposals19 September 2006CARDIFF, Wales -- As reported by the News Wales: "Secretary of State for Wales Peter Hain has welcomed the completion of the Independent Casino Advisory Panel's series of examinations-in-public of the proposals for a regional casino. "The Independent Panel, under the Chairmanship of Professor Stephen Crow, has been conducting a series of public meetings in the areas which have bid for the proposed casino development. "…'If the panel decided that Cardiff should be the site of the casino, I believe this would reflect the strength of the bid with the development forming the centrepiece of a new and exciting Sports and Leisure Village in Cardiff Bay, which would make a massive contribution to regenerating some of our most deprived and derelict areas.', [said Peter Hain]." |
