Gun Lake Casino lawsuit hearing this week

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan -- The Gun Lake Casino faces a federal lawsuit this week that could close it down, Massachusetts Live reported.

The lawsuit contends that the federal government took land into trust for the Gun Lake tribe to build a casino on and that the tribe was not recognized officially until 1998, the report explained.

The government along with the Gun Lake Tribe contend the lawsuit has no merit and lacks legal standing, Massachusetts Live reported.
