Gulfstream receives slot machines license

FLORIDA – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The parent of Gulfstream Park has gained state permission to operate slot machines at its thoroughbred racetrack in Hallandale Beach.

Aurora, Ont.-based Magna Entertainment Corp. said late Friday that Florida awarded it a gaming license.

"The company said it is proceeding with developing the slots facility at Gulfstream and expects to have 516 slot machines installed and operational within the next several weeks.

"…Owners of the facility, formerly known as Hollywood Greyhound, have said they plan to have slot machines installed and operating by next month…"
